Last week, the very first Mix & Match Equine Dental Course took place in Kangasala — and what a success it was! Held at the beautiful clinic of Jessica von Wendt, this unique course brought together 15 enthusiastic participants, eager to dive deep into the complexities of equine dental pathology.
Main theme: Oral Pathologies in Equine Dentistry
What made this course truly special? Participants could mix and match their learning from 10 expert-led modules, tailored to their interests. Topics included:
- Periodontal Disease – pathogenesis, diagnosis & treatment
- Bitting Lesions – exploring welfare & prevention
- Radiograph Interpretation – case-based analysis
- Oral Examination – identifying pathologic findings
- Apical Infections – causes, diagnostics, and treatments
- Odontoplasty – when and why?
- EOTRH – the latest updates and insights
Both lectures and hands-on practicals made this a well-rounded and engaging experience.
Huge thanks to our fantastic speakers Torbjörn Lundström, Wouter Demey, and Stijn Teysen, and to our sponsors Storz, Vetman, HDE, and Equus Dental Harmony for making it all possible!

Missed it this time? Don’t worry! We’re already planning the next edition for 2026. Stay tuned — you won’t want to miss it!
