Dr. Anja Pedersen

Anja Pedersen is an equine veterinarian and equine dentistry specialist with a strong academic background and a deep commitment to equine oral health. She holds a PhD from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and is a Fellow of the Nordic College of Equine Dentistry (NCED).

Anja combines research, clinical practice, and education in her professional work. She is co-author of a well-recognized scientific study on hygiene and bacterial contamination in equine dentistry, contributing to increased awareness of the importance of evidence-based infection control routines within the field.

With a clear passion for knowledge sharing, she regularly engages with both horse owners and professionals. Through lectures and educational initiatives, she has addressed topics ranging from the complexity of the equine oral cavity to the impact of bits on oral health, always with a strong focus on prevention and equine welfare.

Anja Pedersen is a board member since 2025, contributing to the NCED organization with great ideas, her deep knowledge about science and board work progress, as well as her heartwarming smile.
